How To Keep Your Sterling Silver Clean & Shiny

Sterling silver is a super popular metal used for jewelry crafting, it is sparkly and been used for centuries! 925 Sterling Silver is when the ring contains 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper added to increase durability and strength (Pure silver is kind of a “Soft” metal). When exposed to moisture and other external factors the silver may get dirty and appear slightly darker, losing its spark. There are a variety of ways to keep your silver clean and sparkly, we are here to introduce them:

Storing Wearing
Store your jewelry in a dry, dust & moisture free place like a small jewelry box or a drawer. Avoid wearing it in salty water or swimming pools that contain chlorine
(Metals react to different chemicals in different ways), in case you forgot just wipe
the ring with a moist cloth and get it to dry. In general, try your best to avoid
wearing jewelry when you are in water and when you are cleaning to avoid
contact with salt and chemicals.

Cleaning Solutions
There are a variety of ways to clean silver jewelry, it is always better to use
nonabrasive polish cloths that contain a special formula that also keeps it from
losing its spark and getting darker with time, you can also just use soft towels,
hot water and baking soda: put a little bit of baking soda in a glass of hot water
and put your silver jewelry in there, let in soak for 1 minute and then wipe it and
get it to dry. Make sure to wipe your jewelry once a week or after some time
wearing them, treat your jewelry good and they will shine back at you 
